    Our client is seeking a Full Time Quality Technician for second shift

    The position of Quality Technician will ensure that quality parts are produced in production and that any non-conforming material is removed for disposition. The Quality Technician will contribute to a work environment where fairness, equality, teamwork, and non-discriminatory practices are the standard. The compenticies required for this positon problem solving/analysis, attendance/punctuality, dependability, communication proficiency both written and oral and objectivity. The salry for this opportunity is DOE.

    Responsibilities

    1. Responsible for auditing production parts per work instructions, quality alerts, process alerts, and/or engineer direction.
    2. Properly completing and filing audit inspection records.
    3. Notifying the supervisor if any non-conforming parts detected.
    4. Removing any non-conforming material form the production system, identify product as non-conforming utilizing tagging system and reject reason.
    5. Perform any duties required by Quality Engineers or Manager to ensure compliance.
    6. Responsible for performing welded component analysis using a band saw, microtome machine, a Tensile Test machine and/or a microscope analysis software.
    7. Perform Layer Analysis.
    8. Perform Barrier Verification.
    9. Perform Cleanliness Testing.
    10. Perform raw material analysis using a Melt Index Tester and/or Moisture Analysis Tester.
    11. Measure wall thickness with an Ultrasonic Thickness Tester.
    12. Measure product on a CMM.
    13. Record test results on hard copy documents or Excel Data Sheets fully filled out.
    14. Ensure there are no production/quality interruptions due to lack of giving or seeking information by interacting as a team member.
    15. Recommend and participate with Manager in changes to improve the efficiency of the department.
    16. Must follow all safety practices, including wearing the proper PPE where required.
    17. Immediate notification to Supervisor in the event of an accident or quality issue.
    18. Take action to promptly correct or remove all workplace hazards and unsafe work conditions.
    19. Reading, understanding and complying with company safety aspects and job safety guides.
    20. Maintain a friendly and productive working environment.  Keep good habits and a positive attitude.

    Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
    This is a full-time position and is staffed on all three shifts.

    Work days and hours are determined by shift. 

    Working overtime or/on weekends may be necessary.

    Qualifications

    Required Education and Experience

    1. Minimum of High School Diploma or GED
    2. Ability to read and write English
    3. Basic computer skills
    4. Two or more years work experience in a manufacturing facility

    Preferred Education and Experience

    1. Good communication skills
    2. Ability to read/understand a print.
    3. Experience using hand-held gauging and other measuring equipment.
    4. Two or more years of experience in a fuel tank/fill pipe manufacturing facility
    5. Understanding of customer satisfaction and requirements including customer supply.
    6. Experience with use of power tools including vertical bandsaw & other cutting devices.

     

    NOTE:  Over 1 year experience in Manufacturing Industry with familiarity with the listed “Required and “Preferred” can be used for the above.
